They want you to be so confident that they're the cheapest that they're even willing to back it up with a price guarantee!
DON'T BE FOOLED!
They'll wriggle out of that guarantee any way they can.
We all know the price guarantee only applies to identical products. That's perhaps fair enough as you can't compare different equivalent products as it is difficult to compare the quality of different brands
Now they insist the SAME product must even be packaged identically.

Relying on their advertisements that they are the cheapest, I bought a number of camcorder tapes. I thought they were a little expensive and asked if they came in a multipack, or if there were any cheaper.
"No, these are the cheapest around" was the reply.
Another salesman even came over to express surprise at how cheap they were!
So, thinking I was getting a good deal, I bought 3 tapes.

Imagine my suprise when later that day, I found them Ł1 a tape cheaper in Argos in packs of two, a full 12% cheaper!
Now, given the Currys price guarantee, I though, "That's alright, they'll refund the difference.
I buy hundreds of tapes a month from them."
They refused. "Double packs are a different product," they said in the store.
"We don't guarantee our prices against Argos. It's a catalogue company," their head office said.
So they charge me Ł1 per tape more, for the SAME TAPES, for a bit of extra cardboard
Anyone who thinks that's a good deal, contact Currys.
They could use you in their PR department!

It's filled with so many ifs and buts that you can never be sure that you are getting the deal you think you are.
DON'T RELY ON CURRYS
THEIR PROMISES ARE MEANINGLESS
THEY spend MILLIONS convincing us, the gullible public, that they are the cheapest.
They fooled me into paying 12% more for my tapes.
